Exhibition Week started on Monday.

I was drawing thumbnails for the Poster for August 31st, Float for the Parade.

Daniel was working on the laundromat side of the building on the day diligently.

On a piece of Bristol board using: a ruler, pencil and permanent markers first I sketched the concept stage in pencil, making sure the composition worked before finalizing marker lines.

Paula had confused our names that day I was Daniel and Daniel was Stephen.

I was working on finishing the 2nd Poster for the float. For most of the Morning I was hard at work on that.

It was a fairly cool day some clouds.

Patti came in for a visit yesterday, even though she wasn’t working on the day.

Morgan was around the store checking for hangers, cleaning windows and the floor.

I got a comment on my Blog, at the story saying they enjoyed the 1st Write-up I did.

It was a humid day; it warmed up after previous colder days.

Emma brought her daughter AJ, this afternoon Daniel came to visit Emma and her baby on his day off.

New Books were being donated today upfront at the store.

Morgan was cleaning and folding laundry on the laundry side hard at work.

Amanda was sorting clothes into their proper places as well as placing the newly donated books.

Nicole was placing framed artwork that had been donated onto shelves.

Amanda sent Morgan out for a small errand, giving him a break from laundry.

People who came today liked seeing Emma’s baby. She was relatively peaceful.

Today was a scorcher.

Today was the day of the Parade: Duncan, David, Daniel, Damian, Michael H, Ryan, Angus and I arrived at the store.

The staff members: Emma and Patti walked down with us to the Oxford School, Amanda rode on back of the float to the school, Nicole and Paula operated the store.

The pick-up truck was being driven by Kyle, Angus was upfront with him. Daniel, Michael and Ryan were in the back of the truck. On the back of the pick-up was Damian and Emma’s husband Michael V.

The Float consisted of: a café table, wooden chairs, one-side had artwork I illustrated on posters, a poster with names of the workers at Thrift Store and the other side had laundry related stuff in baskets.

Emma and Amanda’s kids rode on the float in 4 chairs Jordyn, Brooklyn, Marisa and Josie. Duncan, David and I were handing out lollipops, Amanda was giving out free ice cream coupons and Emma was pulling newborn AJ’s stroller on opposite end of me and Amanda.

We waved to on-lookers, gave out freebies and continued on the trek across town route. It was a successful day. Everyone had a lot of Fun.
