The Contract Services department obtains contracts from businesses and manufacturing companies. These contracts include pre-assembly, packaging, sorting, counting, and applying labels.

Participants in this program also take care of the laundry services offered at Sunset Industries as well as serving tea, coffee, and lunches to other participants daily and looking after janitorial services for the main Sunset Industries building.

Sunset Industries Pugwash has two types of laundry services available:

• Walk in service where customers can drop off their laundry with us and we will wash, dry, and fold your laundry and then place it back in bags ready for you to pick up. We will give you an estimate of when your laundry will be complete so you can get on with your day without worrying about your laundry.
  • Price $8.00 per load

Our Pugwash location offers secure paper shredding services for businesses and individuals in small or larger volumes. We recently purchased a level 3 security, RCMP-endorsed, professional-grade shredder and hope that we can provide a quality secure shredding service for our communities.

Our goal is to be able to provide a shredding service that the local community does not have, our business is 100% local and can do daily shredding when required, as per the need of each business. We provide shredding for personal or individual households as well.

Every participant has an opportunity for comprehensive skills development in the use of woodworking tools and equipment, appropriate work habits, and safety. Our woodworking shop builds many high-quality items including table and chair sets, beds, bedside cabinets, bookcases, chest of drawers, tv stands, ottomans, toy chests, picnic tables, Adirondack, and other outside chairs, lighthouses, sheds, and many other products. Our woodworking shop can also create many unique products based on your specifications.

Our Lifestyles @ Sunset Industries program gives participants an opportunity to learn many crafting skills while enjoying a fun person-centered and relaxed environment. Participants gain many skills involved in creating a variety of products from start to end in a small group setting that promotes personal growth. We have a maximum of 4 participants at any one time.

Our goal is to create products that we will sell to the general public through our two Thrift Store locations in Pugwash and Oxford. The revenue from this program goes directly back into the program to buy the materials needed to continue creating amazing outcomes for those we serve.

Our Pugwash location runs 1 auction per week. Occasionally we may run more than 1 auction per week so stay tuned to our Sunset Industries Facebook page.

We strive to ensure all of our products are of the best possible quality before offering them on our auction so you can rest assured you are getting the best possible product at the best possible price.
